She came to me cast: The upcoming romantic comedy, helmed by Rebecca Miller is to cast a celebrity panel of Anne Hathaway, Tahar Rahim, Marisa Tomei, Joanna Kulig and Matthew Broderick in lead roles.
Miller is known for her notable work in movies like Maggie's plan, Angela, Personal Velocity: Three Portraits, The Ballad of Jack and Rose and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee all of which she wrote as well as directed.
The storyline of the movie, set in the backdrop of New York, narrates the stories of a composer who rediscovers his passion after an adventurous one-night stand, two parents who are troubled by their teenage kids who are trying hard to prove that their young love is worth and will last forever and a woman who seemingly has it all, but love arrives in the most unexpected place. The film is to cover stories from multiple generations.
The film, which is co-produced by Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler was claimed to be "a truly global appeal" by the producers themselves. In a report by DEADLINE, they stated that they couldn't be more excited to be producing Rebecca's next film after an incredibly difficult period in the world, referring to the pandemic.
Addressing the cast, Head of Sales at Protagonist George Hamilton said, "It is just fantastic to be working with Rebecca again and it is a testament to the strength of her much-revered work that she attracts talent of this calibre. Tahar, Anne, Marisa, Joanna and Matthew depicting these universal experiences of love at all its stages, under different circumstances, give this special film true global appeal, and we can’t wait to share with our international partners."
