In the film Swatantra Veer Savarkar, actor Ankita Lokhande, best known for her part in the television series Pavitra Rishta, will appear opposite actor Randeep Hooda. The life of politician and activist Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is the inspiration for the movie. Amit Sial also plays a significant part in it.
The actor after receiving popularity on television made her Bollywood debut in 2019. She debuted with Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She next appeared in Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 3. The actor will soon appear in Swatantra Veer Savarkar, starring Randeep Hooda. She says that she is always up for taking on challenging roles and that she found the movie's narrative motivating to be a part of.
Lokhande added, "I love essaying challenging and pivotal characters that not just take the narrative forward but also leave an impact on the audience. Swatantra Veer Savarkar is one such inspiring story that needs to be told, and I'm happy to be associated with it".

After making his acting debut in Monsoon Wedding, Randeep Hooda went on to star in films like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Rang Rasiya, Jism 2, and many others. In addition to making his directorial debut with Swatantra Veer Savarkar, he will also portray the movie's lead role.
Sandeep Singh came up with the idea for Swatantra Veer Savarkar, and Utkarsh Naithani and Randeep Hooda wrote the script. The film is backed by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Legend Studios, with producers Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, and Sam Khan. The film is scheduled for release on May 26, 2023. The release will mark the 140th birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar.
