Ankita Lokhande Career: Television star Ankita Lokhande opened up about her experience in the entertainment industry and her relationship with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The Pavitra Rishta fame revealed her casting couch ordeal.
Speaking of one of the two encounters she had, when the actor was a newcomer in the industry, auditioning for a South film Lokhande questioned the casting director, “Which type of compromise does your producer want? Do I have to go for parties or dinners?’"
‘I think your producer wants a girl to sleep with, not a very talented girl to work with.’ And I left from there. He then apologised and said he will try to take me in his film. But I said, 'If you try and take me in also, I’m not interested in your film'," then 19 or 20-year-old actor said.
The Manikarnika actor was also embroiled in the controversy over actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. In her recent interview, she spoke up about her separation with the film actor after dating for six years.
“After my break-up, I understood my value. It is very important to understand your worth. Then I realised that I should work on myself, it is important. Even though I was doing Pavitra (Rishta), people still had that perception about me that she wants to quit working," she said.
After a successful run as a television actor, Ankita Lokhande eventually tried her hands on the film projects.

-Eventually, the actor made her debut as Jhalkaribai, a warrior in Krish and Kangana Ranaut's joint directorial venture Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
-In 2020, she starred in the third instalment of Sajid Nadiadwala's action film Baaghi 3 alongside Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
