Popular Malayalam actor Anjali Nair, who is famous for playing the role of Saritha in the Malayalam movie Drishyam 2, tied the knot with assistant director Ajith Raju. Anjali is known for playing pivotal roles in movies like Puli Murugan, Venicile Vyapari, ABCD, 5 Sundarikal, Matinee, Nellu and Kaaval. The couple shared the news of their wedlock on Facebook which initiated a row of best wishes and congratulations from fans and people from the industry.

Anjali was earlier married to director and screenwriter, Aneesh Upasana. The couple had a daughter, Avani, before they got separated. Anjali's daughter Avani played the role of her daughter on screen as well, in the movie 5 Sundarikal. Ajith Raju announced their marriage by sharing a picture of the couple on his Facebook handle on February 18.

Anjali stepped into entertainment industry as a child actor in 1994 film Manathe Vellitheru. The 33-year-old actor received Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actress in 2015. On the work front, Anjali will be seen portraying the role of a collector in Aaraattu starring actor Mohanlal. The movie released on February 18, 2022 in theatres and is expecting a great box-office collection and massive recognition as one the biggest hits of actor Mohanlal.
