Deepika Padukone starrer Gehraiyaan was released on February 11 on Valentine's day weekend. The film stars Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa in lead roles along with Padukone.

In a scene where Deepika Padukone's character Aaliya is looking at the family portraits, a childhood picture of her with her sister was spotted. Not many people could pay attention to the picture among many others lying on the table. One user wrote, "Love that #Gehraiyaan put a portrait of Anisha and Deepika Padukone among the family portraits! (sic)." After the release of the film, Deepika Padukone's husband and actor Ranveer Singh dedicated a post to her and lauded her for her performance in the film. Singh shared a picture of the couple kissing at the beach and wrote, "Doobeyhaan doobey Ek dooje mein yahaan Tour de force Transcendent, superlative and sublime! What an absolute masterclass of a performance, baby! Such fine, nuanced and heartfelt artistry! ... at your consummate and peerless best in this one! So far, the film has received mixed reviews. The film Gehraiyaan has Deepika Padukone's character at the centre of the narrative. The protagonist juggles her career and love life aspirations and dreads turning into her mother. She starts to have an affair with her cousin's fiancé played by Siddhant Chaturvedi.
