Ananya Panday, Vijay Deverakonda Starrer Liger's Release Date Announced

The film Liger release date was announced by the makers on Thursday. The film has Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in lead roles.

As per reports, former professional boxer from America Mike Tyson will also make a special appearance in the film.

As per the makers, the film will be released in theatres worldwide on August 25, 2022. It will be released in multiple languages. The first trailer of the film will come out on December 31. The film is touted to be a sports drama in which Deverkonda will play the role of a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.

The film is a joint production venture by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehra, Charmme Kaur, Jagannadh under the banner of Dharma Productions and Puri Connect. Kaur had announced the release dat of Liger on social media. She revealed that the film will see a worldwide release. Actor Ananya Panday will play the role of Deverkonda's love interest in the film. This will Vijay Deverkonda's first Bollywood film. As per reports, he has gone through a rigorous training to be able to play the role of an athlete. The film will also mark Ananya Panday's Telugu debut.

The film will be dubbed in other languages but will be shot in Hindi and Telugu, as per reports. Apart from the lead actors and a glimpse of Mike Tyson, the film also has Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, Makarand Deshpande, Vishu Reddy and Getup Srinu as part of the cast.

The film was supposed to release on September 9 2021 but due to the COVID-19 situation in the country, it was delayed. The makers have recently shot the scene with Mike Tyson in the US.
