Ananya Panday’s Change Of Glass: Australian Journo Spots Gehraiyaan Blooper

A Gehraiyaan blooper was shared recently by an Australian journalist who pointed out a blunder that went unnoticed by the filmmakers. Ever since the revelation, Twitter cannot stop talking about the journalist's accurate observation that had escaped even the Gehraiyaan team.

Featuring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles, Gehraiyaan had a direct OTT release on February 11. A series of bloopers from the film were released recently and also caught the attention of Australian journalist Chloe-Amanda Bailey. While she watched the blooper, she spotted a mistake that was ignored by the filmmaker. She shared the video and the scene on Twitter.

Gehraiyaan Blooper: The change of glass that went unnoticed

A 40-second blooper of the film showed a scene picturised on Siddhant Chaturvedi, who plays Zain and Ananya Panday, who plays Tia. While they were talking to each other, Panday is seen drinking water from an oval tumbler with a lemon slice in it. However, by the time the scene ends, Panday's tumbler switched from oval to a cylindrical one and the slice of lemon also disappears. This blunder was pointed out by Chloe-Amanda Bailey who was confused how the switch happened.

Bailey shared the video as well as some stills from the scene on February 21 on her Twitter account, along with the caption, "One thing unresolved in #Gehraiyaan is how Tia’s glass transformed in this scene when she never put it down?" The journalist's post went viral as several users pulled the makers of the film and even gave her suggestions for better Indian films to watch instead of Gehraiyaan.

What is Gehraiyaan about

Gehraiyaan revolves around two couples- Karan and Alisha, and Zain and Tia whose lives takes an unexpected turn when two of them go behind the backs of their partners to have an affair. Alisha is in an unhappy relationship with Karan, while her cousin Tia is planning a Tuscan wedding with her millionaire fiance. When the couples meet for a weekend getaway, sparks fly between Zain and Alisha and thus spreads a lie of webs and deceit which ends in tragedy for everyone. The Shakun Batra film drew mixed reviews from both critics and viewers. While many felt Gehraiyaan was superficial and was all style and zero substance, others appreciated it for its sensitive treatment of subjects like cheating, mental health and dysfunctional relationships.
