Sonam Kapoor Gearing Up For Her Comeback

Advertisment

Sonam Kapoor, who welcomed her son Vayu in 2022, is gearing up for her comeback to the film industry. Her recent movie, Blind, was released on an OTT platform. Blind featured actors like Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lilette Dubey, and Shubham Saraf.

Kapoor has revealed her intention to begin shooting for her upcoming project, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel Battle of Bittora, in 2024. The rights to the book, originally published in 2010 under the same title, were secured by Sonam's sister and producer, Rhea Kapoor. The film will be produced under the Anil Kapoor Films Company banner. The plot is based in Bittora and follows the journey of an animation expert who unexpectedly steps into the political arena, running as a candidate against a former royal.

Furthermore, Rhea Kapoor, in an interview with News18, has officially announced the sequel to Veere Di Wedding, the 2018 hit film featuring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania. Kapoor mentioned that she is actively working on Veere Di Wedding 2 and teased that the sequel would be markedly distinct from the original, defying expectations.
