Comedian and Hollywood actress Amy Schumer has announced a new show on The Food Network. The 38-year-old and her husband, chef Chris Fischer, would host a self-filmed cooking show at home during the quarantine. Fans are eager to catch glimpses of Amy’s life in isolation. The show is tentatively titled Amy Schumer Learns to Cook.

Talking about opening up her kitchen to others through this self-shot series, Amy told Variety, "Chris and I are excited to make this project with Food Network combining our two passions -- for Chris it's cooking and for me, eating." They revealed that the series will have eight episodes, mostly 30-minute long, in which Fischer, a professional chef, will cook dishes using farm-fresh ingredients, with Schumer to assist. Fischer is also an award-winning cookbook author.

While no premiere date has been announced yet, Amy said she will mostly assist her husband in cooking and make mix cocktails. “Amy and Chris will give an unprecedented look at their lives as they are quarantined in their house,” said Courtney White, president of Food Network, in a statement. “Shot entirely themselves, Amy’s boundless humor and Chris’ culinary skills show viewers how they navigate life while at home making the best of these turbulent times with some good laughs and good food.”

The duo have been married since 2018 and welcomed their son Gene last year. They will be seen exploring culinary themes such as tacos, pasta night, fridge cleanup and more.

As film and television production has come to a halt, a lot of self-filmed shows are coming up on TV. Joanna Gaines is also prepping for her upcoming cooking show, and network breakout star Molly Yeh from Girl Meets Farm has also announced self-filmed segments. Starting April 11, the Food Network will also be airing special episodes of Ree Drummond‘s The Pioneer Woman: Staying Home. The five-part special was filmed at her Oklahoma ranch exclusively by Drummond’s daughters Paige and Alex, and her nephew Stuart using their iPhones, People reported. According to reports, the series is “giving viewers a look at what quarantine life is like on a ranch, and what recipes she has been making for her family.”
