Amsterdam is an upcoming crime-drama thriller which follows the story of three friends who witness a murder and become suspects themselves as they discover one of the most outrageous secret plots in American history. The film is directed by David O. Russell whose works include Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. The makers recently dropped the trailer and the audience seems to be already impressed.
While most Twitter users seemed excited about the trailer, others were more critical of the director since Russell is alleged to be involved in many controversies over the years. "Why is David O. Russell still allowed to direct?" wrote a Twitter user while another said, "I will unfortunately be watching," since the film seems so promising.
However, the audience did not seem to mind the star-studded cast and are definitely excited to watch such great talents on-screen. A Twitter user said, "There is a good cast, definitely shall be watching this." WeptSmile wrote, "Wow! What a friggin cast, Best Picture winner!" and with such a convincing trailer Twitter user Michael pool mentions, "it's a big cast with a really good story i'm looking forward seeing it."
It was surely a big day for Swifties since Taylor Swift was spotted in the trailer and the fans rejoice watching their idol on the big screen and demand more screen time for her. Amsterdam is a story of three friends played by the recent MCU villain in Thor: Love and Thunder, Christian Bale, Tenet's John David Washington and widely famous Harley Quinn, Margot Robbie. Other than the trio, actors Robert De Niro, Zoe Saldana, Rami Malek, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy and others will also be seen along with a cameo appearance by Taylor Swift.
