Film 200 Halla Ho: Amol Palekar's 200 Halla Ho: In a comeback after a decade, Bollywood's veteran actor, director and producer Amol Palekar is all set to return to Hindi cinema with 200 - Halla Ho.

Recently, the teaser of the upcoming film was dropped online by the OTT platform. The caption read, “This August, witness 200 women jolt the nation out of its indifference towards years of caste oppression and injustice. Written & directed by @sarthak_dasgupta, #200OnZEE5 is inspired by true events. #HallaHo.”

- The film's teaser features a mob of 200 women barging into a courtroom before the legal proceedings begin.

- Palekar is best-known for Hindi films of the 1970s like Gol Maal, Chhoti Si Baat, Chitchor, Baaton Baaton Mein, among many others.
- In the teaser, Palekar’s character can be heard saying that the act is a murder, and not an execution.
- Based by true events, 200 – Halla Ho narrates the story of a cold-blooded and brutal gangster who was lynched by a group of women for the atrocities inflicted on them by him and his men for 15 long years.
- According to the makers, the film follows 200 Dalit women who took law and justice in their own hands by publicly executing a serial rapist in an open court. So, the story raises many crucial questions about casteism and gender inequality, and the violence which is caused by these social evils.
- In a statement, the film's director Sarthak Dasgupta while talking about his experience working on the project said, “I am grateful that I got an opportunity to use my craft through the medium of cinema to support women in their fight against inequality and injustice. 200 – Halla Ho is my way of contributing to the advancement of our collective consciousness about such things.”
