Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, presented their Mumbai bungalow, Prateeksha, located in Juhu, to their daughter, Shweta Nanda. The property, situated in the Vitthalnagar Cooperative Housing Society, encompasses two plots spanning 674 square metres and 890.47 square metres, with an estimated combined value of around Rs 50.63 crore.
In recent times, Nanda's choice to live in Mumbai with her parents instead of residing with her husband, Nikhil Nanda, and their two children has drawn public interest. Though the reasons behind this arrangement are kept private, Nanda's presence in her parents' home highlights the enduring and close-knit family ties that have been a cornerstone of her life.

She tied the knot with businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997 and welcomed their children, Navya in 1997 and Agastya Nanda in 2000. Last year, Navya initiated her podcast, What The Hell Navya. Meanwhile, Agastya is gearing up for his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's forthcoming movie, The Archies.
More About Prateeksha
Amitabh Bachchan shared that the bungalow's name, Prateeksha, was bestowed by his father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The name signifies, "All are welcome here, but there is no wait for anyone," excerpted from one of his poems. Prateeksha holds cherished memories of Bachchan's time spent with his parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan.
