Toofaan Poster Out Ahead Of Trailer Release: All You Need To Know
After multiple postponements in release, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, Toofaan is set for an OTT release next month. This is the second sports-drama collaboration between Akhtar and Mehra after 2013's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
A poster featuring Akhtar and Thakur for the trailer release date announcement read, "Life can’t break you when love holds you together. Trailer out on 30th June." A teaser for the film released three months ago to rave reviews, with audiences lauding Akhtar for attempting a Raging Bull-like role.
Thakur, who will also be seen in another sports drama Jersey opposite Shahid Kapoor, said about her roles in an interview, "Here I am doing two sports films. One of the biggest challenges for me was to be part of both the dramas and at the same time appear different." Her characters she said are "totally different" and that she has "promised to myself that I will never repeat anything onscreen."
