All of Us Are Dead is a clever and effective zombie survival story that is a coming of age story set in a high school in South Korea. It follows a group of students who become trapped after the outbreak of a zombie virus called the Jonas virus. It is a zombie drama but it is also about the lives of the high schoolers and their drama is equal to, if not bigger than, the apocalypse which is taking place around them.
The teenage students are on a quest for survival, whilst dealing with issues amongst themselves. The zombie virus is also seen as a COVID metaphor.
Although the show has twelve episodes, the series maintains its high level of suspense from the very beginning till the end as any character could be killed at any moment. The show has moments of suspense, along with terrifying zombies. The series creates a plot hole by making the characters aware of what zombies are and the reference to "Train to Busan", another South Korean zombie film.
