Actor Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have often been bombarded with questions on their wedding plans. However, the two have remained tight-lipped about it for a long time now. The Bollywood couple started dating nearly four years ago and kept their relationship away from the limelight for the longest till Bhatt posted a picture of the two as a move to make it official.
As the actor gets ready for the promotion of her upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Gangubai Kathiawadi, in which she plays the role of a sex worker turned activist and politician, the question of her impending marriage resurfaced. In a recent interview, Bhatt reacted to one the Kapoor's old statements on marriage. She said that whenever it does take place, it will be beautiful.
In a 2020 interview with Rajeev Masand, Kapoor had said that if it was not for the pandemic, he and Bhatt would have married. "It (the wedding) would have already been sealed if the pandemic hadn't hit our lives," Kapoor had said. Bhatt agrees with this. She said that COVID-19 played the spoilsport in the couple's wedding plans.
