Bollywood’s new mother, Alia Bhatt, said at a recent press launch that her daughter Raha has become her number one priority. Bhatt, who has had a fantastic year in 2022 both professionally and personally, opened up about her motherhood life at the event.
She delivered three blockbuster and critically acclaimed films: Darlings, RRR, and Bhramastra. She also made her debut as a producer with Darlings. On the personal front, she tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and the couple gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Raha.
When Bhatt was asked if she, like many female actors, would be focusing more on family than work. Before she could answer, her friend, actor Varun Dhawan, interrupted and said that he strongly disagrees with this.
Alia Bhatt On Work Life Balance
Bhatt replied, "I am a take-each-day kind of person. I will take it one day at a time and will definitely give it my best. But definitely, priorities have changed. My number one priority in my life is my daughter, whom I love deeply. My next love, or next to next, or actually my first love, is movies, cinema, and working. I will try my best, and maybe it will be quality over quantity, jo buri baat nahi hai (which is not a bad thing)."
The Darlings actor also expressed her delight at returning to the stage and shared how she doesn’t remember the last time she performed at an award show. She said that she will be performing on 'Dholida', 'Kesariya', and 'Nacho Nacho' at the Zee Cine Awards. "It’s been one of my most special years, and these songs are the biggest hits of my career. I cannot reveal much, but it will be an act that I have not done before." said the Bhramasra actor.
When asked about the importance of awards in her life, the actor said that it was a tricky question. She stated that award shows are more about recognising good work, and that the biggest award for her is the audience's love. The audiences are going to theatres and spending their hard-earned money on actors. It provides emotional satisfaction for actors to be able to entertain them.
With regard to award shows, she said that these are entertainment shows where actors perform and have gags that families can watch during dinner. It’s just another means of entertainment. "However, when actors, directors, and technicians receive awards, it is a recognition of their hard work. This does not in any way diminish the other person's efforts," added the RRR actor.
Actor Varun Dhawan also recalled his experience at his first award show during Student of the Year. He revealed that his trousers tore midway during the act. Talking about awards, he said that since awards are decided by voting, it always feels special to be loved by the audience.
