Recently, Bhatt and Ramayana began trending on Twitter after reports said that the actor might play the role of Sita in the film.

Alia Bhatt In Ramayana?

It was rumoured that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Lord Ram while South actor Sai Pallavi will play Sita in the movie. It was rumoured that the makers were looking to cast Alia Bhatt in the role of Sita in the movie from the beginning but her dates didn't align with the project. Hence, Sai Pallavi's name came up.

However, now it is reported that Bhatt's dates have become available and the makers are going to go with their first choice. Real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt received immense love in Brahmastra and reportedly the makers want to recreate the magic of their on-screen chemistry once again.

Deepika Padukone was also rumoured to play Sita but Bhatt's name got the upper hand when Kapoor and Bhatt were reportedly spotted exiting Ronnie Screwwala's office recently for the alleged discussion of the film.

The film was rumoured to have been postponed indefinitely but Mantena denied quashed the rumours and confirmed it will soon begin shooting. In the role of Ravana, KGF fame actor Yash was allegedly approached by the makers.

Producer Mantena has reportedly said that the movie will start production by the end of this year, allegedly by December. The final line-up of the cast is yet to be announced. The expected release date of the film is not yet announced.
