When Is Alia Bhatt's Darlings Releasing On OTT?

Alia Bhatt has been busy with her back to back film releases and promotions for the upcoming ones. With her two super hits-RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi, she has some more projects lined up for this year. Darlings is one such film. Darlings is Alia Bhatt's debut film as a producer.

Through her company Eternal Sunshine Productions, the RRR actor will both star in and produce the movie alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The film's music has lyrics by veteran writer Gulzar and composition by Vishal Bhardwaj. Award-winning Delhi Crime fame Shefali Shah will be playing Rukhsar Akhtar Qureshi. Along with her, Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew will also be featured in crucial roles. It stars Alia Bhatt in the primary lead role as Badru Qureshi. It will be Roshan's second Bollywood film; he made his professional debut in the 2020 Netlfix flick Choked.

The film came out with its first teaser trailer on July 5 and gave the audience a peak into the suspenseful storyline. Vijay Verma's character seems to be at odds with Bhatt's and her on-screen mother. Bhatt and Shefali Shah are seen sitting in a police station while Verma's character seems paranoid because of Roshan Mathew character's presence.

Darlings Release Date

The movie Darlings will soon make its Netflix streaming debut, according to a recent promotional video released by the company. The movie is fixed to release on August 5,2022.

On Monday, Alia Bhatt revealed a sneak look from the upcoming dark comedy film  in which she and co-star Vijay Verma are engaged in an amusing conversation. The teaser features Alia Bhatt speaking to Vijay Verma and Shefali Shah in a "dark" room.

Speaking on Darlings, Alia had previously said that she has a special place in her heart for the movie. “It’s my first film as a producer that too with Red Chillies. We are very proud and happy how the film has shaped up and we hope it will entertain and engage audiences the world over,” she said.

Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva and Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Roani Ki Prem Kahani are the actor's other two upcoming films, in which she will appear alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, respectively.
