Alia Bhatt COVID-19 Negative: While filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19, Alia Bhatt has on Thursday shared that she has tested negative. She will be resuming work from today, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor confirmed on Instagram Story.
Bhatt, who has been home quarantined for the last couple of days, took to her Instagram and urged her fans to stay safe. "I've been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for Covid-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes! I'm taking care and staying safe. You please do the same. Love to you all," she wrote.

Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram on March 9, sharing that the actor has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. She shared a picture of her son and mentioned that he is in home quarantine and is "on medication and recovering well." Soon, the entire crew of Gangubai Kathiawadi went into isolation. It has also been reported that Bhatt's birthday party has been postponed due to the same reason. According to reports, Ranbir had plans to celebrate her birthday on March 15 but now it has been put on hold.
On the work front, the Highway actor is making a foray into film production with her first film Darlings. She will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. She has recently dropped the poster and teaser of her next film Gangubai Kathiawadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which arrives in theatres on July 30.
