Meet Alex Consani, First Trans Woman Nominated As Model Of The Year 2024

Alex Consani has set sparkling yet unprecedented milestones as she becomes the first transgender to hit every benchmark on the road to the Next Big Thing. Earlier this week, the British Fashion Council announced its nominations for the 2024 Fashion Awards, and the 21-year-old trans model earned the prestigious recommendation for their Model of the Year category.

It’s a historic nomination since it made her the first trans woman ever to be nominated in the category. She’s been tearing crazy lately knowing her great accomplishment with pridefully mixed emotions. In the British Fashion Council's press release announcing the nominations, the organization wrote that the Model of the Year category “recognizes the global impact of a model who, over the last 12 months, has dominated the industry, with an influence that transcends the catwalk.”

AS Consani becomes one of the buzziest new models in the entire game ,right now. Adding stars to her fame, the popular model is not only booking plenty of runway shows along with walking in Mugler, Marc Jacobs, Thom Browne, and more, but she is also kind of a famous TikTok star.

Although she doesn't post as much as she used to even then she has managed to make waves for her sense of humor, calling the solar eclipse the summer solstice, the way she says it, and much of her backstage shenanigans act as icing to the cake.

Consani started modelling in 2015, when her mother “saw this really scary, dingy Facebook ad for some modelling agency,” as she said in an interview with Vox. According to the Independent, she became the youngest trans model to join an agency at age 13, signing with the trans-focused Slay Model Management.

She was also one of the featured hot internet girls in Charli xcx's music video for “360,” along with Rachel Sennott, Julia Fox, Gabriette Emma Chamberlain, Blizzy McGuire, and many more.
