Actor Nagarjuna, Akhil’s father, expressed his happiness in a statement, saying, “We are thrilled to announce the engagement of our son, @AkhilAkkineni8, to our daughter-in-law to be Zainab Ravdjee! We couldn't be happier to welcome Zainab into our family. Please join us to congratulate the young couple and wish them a lifetime filled with love, joy, and your countless blessings.”
The family has yet to finalise the wedding date, though the ceremony is expected to take place next year.
Zainab Ravdjee is an accomplished artist known for her abstract and impressionist work. She is based in Mumbai but was born and raised in Hyderabad. According to The New Indian Express, Zainab is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, a pioneer in the construction sector. Her brother, Zain Ravdjee, is the chairman and managing director of ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd.
Zainab has been showcasing her talent for years. In 2012, she presented her collection Reflections, which she described as a compilation of her past work. She told The New Indian Express, “It’s called Reflections for the same reason; I am looking back at the shows I did in the past and putting it together for this show. Which is why you will find that the paintings stem from different inspirations.”
Their Love Story
Akhil Akkineni and Zainab Ravdjee met a few years ago and began dating shortly after. On Instagram, Akhil shared his excitement about their engagement, writing, “Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.”
On the professional front, Akhil Akkineni was last seen in the 2023 action film Agent.
