Adipurush Twitter Review: Prabhas Starrer Receives Mixed Reactions

Om Raut's directorial film Adipurush was released today. The film is based on the epic Ramayana. The film features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh in important roles. The film has moments like The Sitaharan sequence, the scene of Sanjeevani Buti, the construction of the Ram Setu scene, and more. The USP of this film on Ramayana is VFX, the animation of the film has been a hot topic, it also sparked controversy. 

Adipurush since its poster release has been trending for several reasons, it was also hit by the boycott trend due to the controversial portrayal of Ravana in the movie. Netizens have expressed outrage and took an objectionable stand. However, now that the film has been released, is it a flop or has been successful to touch the heart of viewers, upcoming days numbers will tell us. A user found the movie is good but the VFX is not that amazing. The user said, "It is an very good movie with okish vfx.. Screen presence of lead character were too good nothing flaws. Om direction superb some scene vfx were outstanding dnt belive any rumours.. Om presented really well good and watch.. Some scenes were disappoint but not the movie." Another user complementing actor Prabhas, said, "Just Finished Watching Adipurush in Dolakpur! Honestly it is a very good movie!! VFX could be better but the Story is Engaging and Gripping. Kudos to Om Raut for this. Prabhas looks Majestic. As a Tamilan i am saying this. The film will pick up After WOM! Congrats #Prabhas annaya." 

A few netizens loved the extravaganza take on Ramayana, and there are some other viewers, who were disappointed with the way the film was made. A user said, "Disappointed! Adipurush is a king-sized disappointment… BAD VFX, low on content …Adipurush could’ve been a game changer, but, alas, it’s a missed opportunity… All gloss, no soul. #Prabhas worst performance. 

The epic Ramayana has several adaptations already in the world of cinema, Adipurush is just the newest entrant on the list. People have compared the film with older film adaptations, and let me tell you, they are not happy. A user exclaimed, "After watching visuals coming out of Adipurush, My respect for Ramananda Sagae has gone up 100x, 26 years ago, without any technology and limited resources, he created magic, absolute magic which even after so many years remains unmatched." 

For a few movie lovers, it was neutral. A user stated, "Done with the first half of Adipurush. Everything that's good so far is the writing, yeah obviously we know the story and the music is the best part. CGI is awful, only a couple of scenes had decent CGI. Bhajrang and Ravana had more scenes and dialogues than Raghav." 

Overall the film on its first day of release mixed reactions. Some are happy with especially because Prabhas has been part of it. However, going through the tweets on Adipurush, it seems the boycott and the controversy has pre-influenced people's opinion on the film. For now, it is a one-time watch.
