The upcoming film Adipurush, directed by National Award Winner Om Raut is set to release in a few months. It is based on The Ramayana, the greatest epic in Indian history and culture, and features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh in important roles.

This project is produced by Bhushan Kumar, and they recently announced that it would be showcased not just for the Indian diaspora, but for the world, highlighting India's rich history and culture. The world premiere of this film will be held on 13 June at the Tribeca Festival in New York.

Adipurush Premiere At Tribeca Festival US

Kriti Sanon recently expressed her enthusiasm through her Instagram account. The Tribeca Festival has unveiled its line-up, and the esteemed jury has chosen Adipurush to have its world premiere at the festival. Kriti Sanon announced the news with a poster, stating, "I am beyond pleased and honoured that Adipurush will be shown at the famous TribecaFestival on 13 June 2023 in New York! "I'll see you there..." On June 16, the film will be released in India and worldwide.

The Tribeca Festival provides a platform that unites artists with a varied and diverse audience to appreciate storytelling in its many forms. One featured film at the festival is Adipurush, which is being promoted as a visually stunning experience and will be presented in 3D as a "Midnight Offering".

Actor Prabhas expressed that he felt honoured and privileged that Adipurush, a movie that reflects the nation's ethos, will have its global premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York. He also took to Instagram to share a captivating poster of his upcoming film and expressed his pride as an Indian and an actor to see an Indian film, especially one that is close to his heart, reach the international stage. Prabhas is eagerly waiting to see the audience's response at Tribeca.

Last year, when the teaser of the magnum opus was released in October, depicting Hindu deities, and offering substandard visual effects, the film stirred up a controversy, leading to calls for a boycott. Saif's portrayal of the character Lankesh in the movie received criticism for the perceived Islamization of the character due to the demon king's beard and a buzz cut. Initially scheduled to release in theatres on 11  August 2022, the film's release date was postponed to 2023.
