Actor Samantha Prabhu Starts Shooting For Film Yashoda

Samantha Prabhu's new film Yashoda went on the floor today. The author backed drama is expected to be completed by March in the following year.

The movie is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under his production banner of Sridevi Movies.

About Samantha Starrer Yashoda:

Yashoda is thriller movie that features Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role. The movie is a new age author backed drama that is to be directed by the famous duo from South India Hari and Harish. The shooting of the movie started with a pooja conducted on Monday in Hyderabad.

The movie will be released in five Indian languages- Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam.

Sivalenka Prasad has earlier produced many hits like Sammohanam, Mitrudu, Aditya 369 among others. At the event he spoke how this movie was conceived keeping in mind the wide section of audience in accordance to Samantha's much loved avatar in the second part of The Family Man .

The Family Man 2 series that was aired on Amazon Prime features Samantha as a Sri Lankan rebel in India, named Rajji. The role of Rajji was applauded and the audience loved her silent yet an impactful performance in the Manoj Bajpayee starrer series. Samantha also bagged the award for Best Actress(Series) Award at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2021 for the role. Samantha recently voiced her opinion on being shamed over her divorce from Naga Chaitanya and related rumours that did not let her live with privacy. She refused taking 200 crore alimony from her ex partner Chaitanya and wants to focus more on her upcoming projects.

Currently, Samantha has multiple domestic projects to her credit, namely: Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal and Shakuntalam.
