Regina Cassandra To Star In ZEE5’s Series ‘Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke’

The next original series from streaming service ZEE5, Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke, will star Regina Cassandra. Director Srijit Mukherji's suspenseful drama centres on Cassandra's character, Kavya, a female IPS officer.

The 32-year-old actor, who has appeared in movies like Siva Manasulo Sruthi, Mughizh, and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, said it was surreal for her to play a cop in the series. Cassandra said in a statement, "This ranks among the strongest characters I have played thus far."

Regina Cassandra said this about the project, "Putting rumours to rest, I am thrilled to be a part of Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke, directed by Srijit Mukherji. The four breathtakingly beautiful Indian states where we shot this crime thriller three months ago gave it the necessary rawness. It was strange for me to experience wearing the IPS officer uniform. This character ranks among the strongest ones I've played so far. I think Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke accurately depicts the variety of hats that officers wear. To see myself dressed in khakis makes me feel fortunate. This show, which will soon debut exclusively on ZEE5, makes me happy to be a part of it."

The film Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke tells a moving story about Indian IPS officers who sacrifice their lives for the country and serve it selflessly. Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi and also stars Barun Sobti, Mita Vashisht, and Sumit Vyas.
