Actor Elli AvrRam who has become a fan favourite since her debut in the Bollywood film Mickey Virus talked about being stereotyped in the industry. She said that she has never feared it.
While speaking to news agency IANS, Elli AvrRam said she has often warned by people about being stereotyped as an actor who only does certain kind of roles.
She said, "Never did I fear it from my heart because in my heart I know my passion, my talent, and what I have to offer to this world of art, and it's got no limits."
According to the actor, it is very important for her to connect with a project she gets offered because otherwise, she doesn't take it. She said that over the years, she has refused many songs that didn't make her 'heart smile of excitement'.
"I won't be able to give justice to the song or project because I can't do anything half-heartedly and it's not fair to the filmmakers either," she said.
She also shared her love for Bollywood films and how she always wanted to be part of the industry. When AvrRam watched Love Aaj Kal for the first time, the character played by Brazilian actor Giselle Monteiro in the film spoke to her. Monteiro was a foreigner playing an Indian character. Monteiro made AvrRam feel, " If she can do it, then so can I".
She said that fell in love with Bollywood cinema during her childhood and always looked for that one foreign female actor for inspiration and hope.
Elli AvrRam was last seen in a dance number named Har Fun Maula with Aamir Khan in the film Koi Jaane Na. She was also part of 2020's Malang.
When asked about the challenges faced in the film industry, AvrRam said that she is not scared of that. "I’m not scared about surviving in this industry, I’d say I’m more scared about how to survive as a free human being in this world," she said.
