Abhinav Kohli-Shweta Tiwari son: The shoot for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 started in Cape Town and one of the contestants, popular actor Shweta Tiwari is now embroiled in another controversy.
The television actor alleged Abhinav Kohli of not contributing financially towards their son 5-year-old Reyansh’s upbringing. Reacting to the allegations, Kohli made another counter allegation saying that Tiwari is lying.
Here is a look at who said what and when.
Abhinav Kohli says he doesn't know Reyansh's location
The Kasautii Zindagii Kay famed actor left for South Africa last week to participate in the game-based reality show. Soon after that, Kohli had posted a series of videos on Instagram, complaining about not knowing where their son Reyansh is. He blamed Tiwari for "abandoning" their son and said she flew to Cape Town without his consent.
"She had asked for my consent to go to South Africa, but I refused since it is not safe to travel amid the spread of coronavirus. She will be working there for 12 hours a day and will leave the child at the hotel, which is not required," he had mentioned he was looking for his son Reyansh in city hotels where he is alone.
He went on to claim that he fears his wife has the kid at an undisclosed location, forcing him to go to the police who refused to file his complaint. They asked him to get in touch with child services instead. He revealed that he has filed an FIR against her.
Shweta Tiwari hits back
Hitting back at Kohli, Shweta told Bollywood Bubble that all the claims made by her ex are baseless since she had already informed Kohli about her plans to fly to South Africa for the shoot of the upcoming show. "Reyansh is safe with my family," Tiwari informed that her mother, relatives and daughter from the previous marriage, Palak Tiwari, are taking care of him.
Saying that Reyansh is in regular touch with his father, Tiwari added “He speaks to Reyansh in the evening over call for about one hour, every day, without fail as per the High Court’s order. Yet he claims that he doesn’t know where his child is and how he is doing.” She also revealed that when Kohli was informed about the shoot, he wanted to know the address.
Talking about the videos, the actor said that she doesn't understand the agenda behind it. She also added that she would have preferred to bring Reyansh with her to Cape Town, his nanny and her mother along to South Africa but Kohli was not willing to do so. The actor further said that she has always ensured Reyansh's safety first and that his father is the one who has not contributed “a single penny to the growth of kids”.
You are lying: Abhinav Kohli to Shweta Tiwari
Reacting to Tiwari’s allegation of not being able to take care of his son financially, Kohli in a recent video on Instagram, said “I’ve had enough. I have suffered due to her lies and wrong-doings. Shweta has said in an interview she had informed me that our kid is fine and with her family. Enough of lying, Shweta." He claimed that he is unable to locate his son and if Tiwari had informed him about his whereabouts then why would he go on looking for him in hotels. "People are dying due to Covid-19 and third wave is dangerous for kids. But you have left everything at this time to earn money," he added.
"I took care of him last time when he was infected with Covid-19. When I am his natural guardian, why are they with nani and his sister? Mind you, law is slow, but not a joke. You can’t take it for a ride. You can’t keep lying, Shweta," he said adding she has blocked him on phone.
Earlier, too, he had accused Tiwari of neglect and keeping him away from his son. Tiwari, on the other hand, opened up about the “wrong men” she chose in her life, claiming that her children have been going through the trauma of her failed relationship and how her younger son, Reyansh knows about “police”.
