Abhinav Kohli Shweta Tiwari case: Estranged husband Abhinav Kohli accused Shweta Tiwari of domestic violence after the actor's recent interview created controversy. The television actor earlier claimed that Kohli had threatened to “ruin” her reputation. However, Kohli alleged that she had assaulted him with a stick. Tiwari and Kohli got married in 2013 and have a son named Reyansh, born in 2016. The couple called it quits in 2019.
Tiwari in a recent interview spoke about being a domestic violence survivor and opened up about her two broken marriages. Kohli, too, admitted to having slapped her on one occasion and further claimed that she has also been physically abusive towards him. "I have never beaten Shweta apart from that slap which Palak herself has mentioned in that open letter," he told SpotboyE. "And I had already apologised for that slap to both of them. This whole thing is just a confusion created by Shweta just to prove that I subjected her to domestic violence which is not true. I have never been a woman beater," he further added.
Kohli also revealed that Tiwari's daughter from the previous marriage, Palak started demanding that he leave their house and Tiwari just entertained that idea. He alleged that the mother-daughter duo wouldn't let him see his son. He further alleged that Tiwari got him arrested on false charges while all he was trying to do was “fighting for my son”.
Elaborating on his accusations of assault against Tiwai, Kohli continued, "In 2017, when we had a fight and she separated me from my child for three months, I tried to meet my child. And I have also shared a photo on my Instagram where you can see that black mark below my eyes. Shweta also has CCTV footage of that incident as she had written a letter to the society asking for it as evidence for that fight."
"I have been suffering because of all this but I never spoke about it. You hit me, used your daughter to put a wrong allegation on me who was brought up by this very man, created a wrong image in front of the world," he added.
On the other hand, Tiwari spoke about the “wrong men” she chose in her life, claiming that her children have been going through the trauma of her failed relationship and how her younger son, Reyansh knows about “police”.
Tiwari and Kohli are still legally married. He, however, is out on bail in a separate case related to Palak Tiwari.
