Aashka Goradia Has Some Advice For Women Looking To Rise Above 'Log Kya Kahenge'

Aashka Goradia, popular Instagram influencer and television actor is handing out valuable advice to women who are aspiring to free themselves from the burden of log kya kahenge. Haven't we all been pressured under this tiring exclamation that expects women to do all that we don't want? And for what, just because society would judge us? Goradia asks her social media followers to "NOT waste your time thinking what others make of you, what you make of you is the best version there ever could be."

Sharing pictures of herself from her beach vacation with husband Brent Goble, the Kkusum actor wrote, "there is no bigger sense of freedom than allowing your state of mind to be free of "log kya kahenge"... Be humble, be kind and hold space for people but not their judgements. RISE ABOVE. One life and live it the way you desire. Celebrate yourself..."

Several friends and colleagues of Goradia from the television industry seemed to echo and hail her insight into self-love. Actor Kanica Maheshwari commented under her post, "True true true... Time to be liberated." Pooja Gor agreed saying, "HECK YEAHHHHH."

Goble meanwhile cheered for his wife by replying to her photo, "Golden words and golden soul."

Who Is Aashka Goradia?

Goradia rose to prominence on the small screen, with prominent appearances on soaps like Naagin and Laagi Tujhse Lagan. Her range has included playing the antagonist on kids' show Baal Veer, as well as a contestant on reality show Bigg Boss and dance competition Nach Baliye. In the latter, she participated with Goble, her then-boyfriend.

The couple married in 2017 in two ceremonies, one as per Goble's Christian customs and one per Goradia's Hindu customs.

Goradia has consistently been vocal about seeking equality and agency for women, having taken a stand for her choice of undergoing lip surgery and also for dangerous representation of women in media content. On Instagram, where she boasts of over a million followers, Goradia often speaks of personal empowerment and healthy living.
