Aaradhya Bachchan, the 11-year-old granddaughter of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, has taken legal action against a YouTube channel for spreading false information about her health and personal life. The case is set to be heard by Judge C Harishankar of the Delhi High Court today.
Aaradhya Bachchan's Lawsuit:
According to Aaradhya, the videos circulating suggest that she is suffering from poor health, and some even falsely claim that she passed away. In addition, these videos allege that the Bachchans did not take the necessary actions to provide prompt medical assistance to Aaradhya.
The youngest member of the Bachchan family has filed an injunction to prevent the aforementioned reporting as she is a minor. She has also demanded that 10 entities "remove and disable all videos" featuring her. According to the law firm Anand and Naik who submitted the petition, the defendants are simply leveraging the reputation of the plaintiff's family for personal gain, with no concern for the harm caused to the plaintiff and their family by this news reporting. The case also involves Google and the Grievance Cell of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
As of now, the Bachchan family has not released any official statement regarding this issue. The trolls have been targeting the daughter of actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for various reasons, which Abhishek Bachchan had cautioned them about during the promotion of his recent movie Bob Biswas.
He spoke about the trolls who continuously attack his daughter, and he mentioned to the entertainment portal BollywoodLife that they ought to communicate whatever criticisms they have directly to him.
He expressed his disapproval and made it clear that he will not tolerate this unacceptable behaviour. As a public figure, he is okay with facing criticism, but he draws the line when it comes to his daughter, and challenged anyone who has something to say about his daughter to confront him in person.
Aaradhya and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were recently spotted attending the grand opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). Aaradhya, dressed in a traditional white outfit, and Aishwarya, in a stunning all-black ensemble, looked stunning at the event. Aaradhya is currently studying in the sixth grade at Mumbai's Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
