Sitaare Zameen Par: All You Must Know About Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh Film

Aamir Khan is set to make a significant impact once again with his upcoming movie Sitaare Zameen Par. Following the tremendous success of his 2007 release Taare Zameen Par, which shed light on dyslexia, Khan is reportedly shifting his focus to another important cause: Down syndrome. Moreover, Sitaare Zameen Par marks the debut collaboration between Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh.

Currently engrossed in filming Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan shares the screen with Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary. Directed by RS Prasanna, known for Shubh Mangal Savdhan, both Aamir and Genelia recently commenced shooting for the film. A behind-the-scenes (BTS) photograph featuring the two actors recently went viral online, showcasing them sharing a delightful moment as they laugh heartily, captivating fans worldwide. 

As per a Hindustan Times report citing an insider, Aamir Khan aims to shed light on another societal stigma through his upcoming film, much like he did with Taare Zameen Par. The report revealed that Khan discovered a heartfelt story centred around Down syndrome, intending to sensitively portray the experiences of individuals dealing with the condition. The actor is committed to creating an impact that fosters equality and understanding for those affected by the syndrome.

In a previous interview with News18, Khan elaborated on the thematic continuity between the two films, stating, "But the theme is the same. That's why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme, but this time, the character of the special child Ishaan in that film—my character helps that character in 'Taare Zameen Par'. In 'Sitare Zameen Par', those nine boys, who have their own issues, help me. It's the opposite."

Sitaare Zameen Par Release Date

Furthermore, Aamir Khan disclosed the anticipated release window for Sitaare Zameen Par. Confirming a Christmas release, Khan shared, "My next film as a lead actor, which has just begun filming, is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, and I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun."
