The announcement, made by the stars themselves a few months ago on social media, has already generated significant buzz. However, the latest casting news involving Ranveer and a former child star has stirred some controversy online.

Is 19-Year-Old Sara Arjun Cast Opposite Ranveer Singh? 

According to a new report by Peeping Moon, 19-year-old Sara Arjun, a former child actor, is set to be cast opposite 39-year-old Ranveer Singh in Aditya Dhar's upcoming yet untitled film. Sara Arjun, who gained recognition for her role as the younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character in Ponniyin Selvan (2022-23), has worked extensively in both Hindi and Telugu cinema. The film marks her transition from child actor to lead heroine.

As per Peeping Moon, "Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, this film (by Aditya Dhar) marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema."

The news of Sara Arjun being paired with Ranveer Singh, who is 20 years her senior, hasn’t been well-received by many fans. After a clipping of this news was shared on Reddit's BollyBlindsNGossip subreddit, it sparked widespread criticism from users, who expressed discomfort with the significant age difference between the two actors.
