Who is Leo Kalyan? The singer performed at Sonam Kapoor’s baby shower, which was held in London. Leo Kalyan is a British-Pakistani musician, model, and music producer who is known for his track ‘Fingertips’ which reached Spotify’s Global Viral Chart.

Sonam Kapoor held a baby shower for her first child with her husband Anand Ahuja. The independent artist Leo Kalyan performed at the baby shower. On Instagram, Kalyan posted an image of him and Kapoor with the caption “A spice girl in Bollywood. I just performed at Sonam Kapoor’s baby shower. What is life?”

• The London-based artist, singer, music producer, and model, Leo Kalyan is described on his website as “An independent artist walking the line between art and activism.”
• Kalyan is one of the first South-Asian musicians to come out as gay to the public.
• Kalyan released his first extended play record (EP) ‘Silver Linings’ in 2015. The EP consisted of four songs.
• The single ‘Fingertips’ from his first EP ‘Silver Linings’ reached the top of the Spotify Global Viral Chart and has been streamed more than 3,500,000 times on Spotify. The song was also remixed and to date remains one of his most popular songs.
• While working on his second EP ‘Outside In’ in 2016, Kalyan began questioning his identity for the first time and his lead single explored how being gay and in the closet affected his personal relationships.
• In 2018, Kalyan released ‘The Edge’, an EP which became his most accomplished EP to date. After the release of ‘The Edge’, Kalyan was described by Paper Magazine as the type of artist that “makes the kind of emotional resonant pop music that can incite positive change. ”
• His most recent EP ‘The Edge’ was BBC 1Xtra’s number-one EP for a month.
• Leo Kalyan performed at actor Sonam Kapoor’s baby shower. In his Instagram post, Kalyan showed a clip of him performing the song ‘Masakali’ by Mohit Chauhan. ‘Masakali’ was on the soundtrack of the 2009 film Delhi-6, which starred Sonam Kapoor.
