Delhi schools summer vacation for the session 2021-22 has been rescheduled in light of the spike in coronavirus cases in the national capital. The dates earlier were May 11 to June 30. They have been reshuffled to begin April 20 to June 9.
The national capital is also preparing to go into a six-day curfew starting April 19, 10:00 pm. It will extend upto April 26, 5:00 am. Full details here.
A circular issued April 19 by the Directorate of Education reads, "During the vacation period, Heads of Schools are hereby authorised to call vacation staff as per requirement for any school related work... maintaining COVID appropriate behaviour."

Delhi Schools Summer Vacation Preponed, Some Respite For Students And Parents
With Delhi making it among top three states contributing largest to the national daily count of coronavirus cases, only behind Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, students raised concerns over the continuation of online classes amid ">stress.
Recently, the central and many state boards reconsidered the conduction of final exams for classes 10 and 12, either postponing them or cancelling them altogether. As per latest data on April 19, 8:00 am, the national capital had recorded 25,462 cases. City-wide panic seems to have set in amid news of shortage in oxygen, hospital bed and medicinal facilities. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in an address, has stated, "Our health system hasn’t collapsed, but it is on edge." More here.
