Kinnari Gala shares how she plans to learn in 2018. It's got to be a year of growing up she says in this blog.
From my school days, I was clear that this would be my career. And since, entrepreneurship runs in my blood, it was obvious to me that I should start my own firm. Thin-i was launched 5 yrs back, and we passionately serve clients from varied industries viz. pharma, education, chemicals, retail, FMCG to name a few. I have put together some goals I want to achieve personally and professionally. Afterall for the new generation of workers, these do come down to meet at a point because the line between work and pleasure and personal blurs all the time.

Learning never stops, and hence, I will be educating myself on the changing trends in the industry, by attending webinars and live seminars of internationally acclaimed gurus. This will enable me to add value to my clients' profile, and will eventually give them an edge over their competitors. An oft ignored or mislead segment are SMEs. Since we know them to be price conscious, Thin-i will offer them strategic solutions at affordable prices. We are growing at a rapid pace, and will be hiring 10 more key people. That's another kick I get from being an entrepreneur. Being a job creator, is extremely satisfying. I intend to lend my expertise to educational institutions, in the role of a visiting lecturer. This will keep me in touch with the current generation, and will also help Thin-i to scout for fresh talent.

On the work front, in 2018, Thin-i will triple its business, adding around 50 clients. We will be expanding our domain into all areas that support branding, in addition to what we currently do i.e. brand solutions, strategising, digital marketing, creatives etc. Owing to our experience across industries as well as the rich portfolio we have created, we will confidently acquire big accounts in the coming year. We will be increasing our geographical presence to 2 more cities, apart from Mumbai. Focus will also be on having more international presence, as we are already serving clients operating in the UK and Middle East.

Meeting people from diverse backgrounds, making new friends and learning from their experiences, has enriched me greatly. Many offbeat trips are on the cards in 2018, the most challenging being the Everest Base Camp Trek!
