Here's Looking At The Exceptional 2021 Priyanka Chopra Has Had

Actor Priyanka Chopra is currently engaged in promotions for her upcoming film The Matrix Resurrections.

She will be seen sharing the screen with Hollywood actors such as Keanu Reaves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the fourth film of the fan favourite movie franchise. 

This is not the only thing Chopra has achieved this year. From launching her haircare brand, restaurant to launching her autobiography, the actor has had an impressive and eventful 2021.

Citadel Shoot Wrap: 

The actor finished shooting for yet another global series in London. She will be seen next to Richard Madden, Ashleigh Cummings and Stanley Tucci among others. Chopra in her interviews has revealed that shooting for the series was the "most intense" job of her career. The series created by the Russo brothers and Patrick Moran is going to be a spy thriller packed with action. It is set to release sometime in 2022 and has been directed by Brian Kirk, Joseph Russo, Jessica Yu and Anthony Russo.

Launching Unfinished 

Chopra came out with her memoir this year which had her trending on the internet for months. She revealed the incidents from film sets that she could not speak up about all these years and gave the fans a deep dive into her personal life. The book got featured on New York Times Bestseller list in no time. 

Launching Sona Restaurant

The actor launched her Indian restaurant in New York in March this year. She shared the news on social media and wrote, "This endeavour would not have been possible without the leadership of my friends Maneesh Goyal and David Rabin. Thank you to our designer Melissa Bowers and the rest of the team for realizing this vision so clearly. The second and third photos were taken in September 2019 when we performed a small intimate Puja (prayer ceremony) to bless the space that would soon become #sonanewyork Godspeed!”

Haircare Brand Anamoly

Right at the beginning of 2021, Chopra launched her haircare brand. She said the brand comes after years of her learning about hair care. Talking further about the products, the actor added, ” Our formulas are vegan and clean, with high-performance ingredients, and our bottles are made from 100% plastic trash from our oceans and landfills."

White Tiger 

The film starring Chopra and Rajkummar Rao won a nomination at the Academy Awards 2021. It was also won two nominations at BAFTA 2021. The male protagonist Adarsh Gaurav bagged two nominations for Best Actor. One is the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead and the other one at AACTA International Award. Priyanka Chopra had produced the film with Lava Media, ARRAY and other banners. The film was directed by Ramin Bahrani. 

Producers Guild of America

The non-profit organisation which represents and promotes the interest of its members in the film and television industry made Priyanka Chopra its member. PGA has more than eight thousand members who produce works in non-fiction, documentary, animation, and scripted sectors. In the announcement tweet, PGA wrote, "Ms Chopra Jonas has 14 producer credits to her name, including an executive producer credit for #TheWhiteTiger."

MAMI film festival Chairperson 

The Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) announced in August 2021 that Priyanka Chopra has been made the chairperson of its Jio MAMI Film Festival. It was four months after actor Deepika Padukone stepped down as the chairperson.

Jee Le Zaraa

Priyanka Chopra along with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif announced this year that they are going to come together for a film by Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar's production house in 2023. The film will be the first one in which women will be seen taking a road trip together like in the popular films Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaraa where men were seen having road trips.

Victoria Secret 

Along with model Paloma Elsesser and transgender actor-model Valentina Sampaio, Priyanka Chopra was signed by the lingerie giant as their representative. Football player Magan Rapinoe and two other women were chosen by the brand as part of its new image-building campaign. The newly appointed women representatives replaced the models (Victoria Secret angels) and aim to speak to real women across the globe.
