Unwritten reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100, making it her first top-ten hit in the United States. In 2016, the song was featured as the theme song for MTV’s reality television series The Hills.
Natasha Bedingfield and her song Unwritten have become the latest trend on TikTok, as users of the app dance to a remix of her track. Bedingfield went along with the trend and recreated the TikTok trend. She captioned the clip with “love love loving this dance you did.”
The chef and television personality Gordan Ramsay and his daughter Matilda also took part in the TikTok trend as they danced to Unwritten.
Who Is Natasha Bedingfield?
- The 39-year-old British singer Natasha Bedingfield released her debut album which contained the single Unwritten in 2004.
- More than 2.3 million copies of her album were sold worldwide and she received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Unwritten.
- Natasha Bedingfield released her second album N.B in 2007. The North American version was named Pocketful of Sunshine and released the next year.
- Like Unwritten, her single Pocketful of Sunshine reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100.
- Her third album Strip Me was released in 2010 and her fourth album Roll with Me was released in 2019.
- Natasha Bedingfield made her acting debut as a voice actor for the James Bond video game From Russia with Love.
- Bedingfield is an ambassador for Global Angels, an international charity. In November 2006 she visited India for three weeks to support the charity. She visited an orphanage in Kolkata and a refugee camp for former child prostitutes in Mumbai.
- Bedingfield is also an advocate for Stop the Traffik, a global organisation working to end human trafficking.
