Priyanka Chopra, who was crowned Miss World in 2000 at the age of 18, recently returned to the iconic venue in London where she first achieved fame. This time, she attended a concert by her husband, Nick Jonas. On Instagram, Priyanka shared a nostalgic moment from her visit, reminiscing about the past.

In her post, Priyanka recalled, "I was crowned Miss World at this arena 24 years ago. It was called the Millennium Dome back then. I’ll never forget my little 18-year-old, excited, nervous, and competitive self, trying to look and be the best I could be.” 

She added with a touch of humour, “A memory I will never forget from November 30th, 2000 is the feeling of balancing on pencil heels with a gorgeous Hemant Trivedi dress that was falling off the entire evening because my body tape would not stay on, as I was sweating so much from nerves. Hence, if you google the pictures, after I win, I look like I’m doing a namaste in gratitude, but I’m actually desperately trying to keep my dress up. (laughing face emojis) Clearly, I survived, and it was all well at the end.”

The actor then concluded her note, writing, "To be back here watching my husband and his brothers perform with my daughter, family, and friends is such a full circle. Life has been good. Gratitude"

Priyanka earlier shared an Instagram post commemorating the 20th anniversary of her Miss World crowning moment. She posted a video that chronicled her family’s reactions to her winning the title at the age of 18 in 2000.

The video starts with the announcement of her historic win. An overwhelmed Priyanka can be seen waving to the crowds as she is crowned. Additionally, a voice-over remarks that she is the fifth Indian to win the Miss World pageant. The video then forwards to the present day and features her reliving her winning moment with her mother Dr Madhu Chopra and her brother Siddharth Chopra.

Jonas Family Recalls Her Winning Moment

Recalling her daughter’s win, Dr Madhu Chopra says in the video, "First runner-up was announced and Miss World is Miss India, Priyanka Chopra. We were both like literally under the chairs and the entire hall erupted, all the Indians just stood up erupted.”

The video also features Jonas’ brother reminiscing about the moment. He says, “I remember at the Millennium Dome being on the stage. I was only 11-12 years at the time. But mixed feelings for me … I was happy that she won but the very next moment I learned that I would be going to the US for further studies instead of her.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas goes on to comment that back in 2000, she had no idea about the impact of her win on her family.
