"Portal To Hell": Woman Discovers A Mysterious Light-Emitting Drain In Her Bathtub

Bathtub Drain Mystery: A strange story picture was posted by an unnamed woman on Facebook where an orange colour light can be seen emanating from a bathtub drain.

The picture has not got the attention of thousands of people since a woman posted it on a Facebook group named "Things Found In Walls-And Other Hidden Findings". The said woman in the post mentioned that she was spending time in a hotel where she saw something strange in her bathtub.

She wrote, " I'm in a hotel and I just noticed that the bath drain has a light coming from it. What could it be?". The light coming out of the bathtub had an orange glow to it. Some assumed it to be the light coming from an industrial furnace while others took made use of their imagination a little too well.

One user wrote, " That's clearly a portal to hell." While another saw the opportunity to bring in Stephen King's novel It in the picture and wrote, " Uh Dunno, but if someone down there asks if you'd like a balloon, just say no." Many users commented that the light looks "creepy" and brought several other bizarre theories.

Finally, there was a person who came up with a logical explanation. The user suggested that the light can be coming from a chase mostly found in between hotel rooms. They said that many hotels can exposed mechanical systems in those chases for their maintenance. They wrote, "If the trap in the tub is plastic and the maintenance person left the light in the chase on, it will be visible in your room. That’s probably what’s happening here."

A while ago, a New York City resident had posted viral of a Parasite-like figure she found behind her bathroom mirror. This isn’t the first time someone has made a spine-tingling discovery in their bathroom.

The strange bath drain reminded many of the 1992 horror film Candyman in which a woman was murdered by a man who came out of her bathroom mirror. The movie was actually based on a real incident that took place in 1987 in Chicago. Read about more mysteries here.
