Who'd have thought something like a golgappa proposal would one day become a reality? The pandemic has made us go the full zany mile for a bit of happiness. Who's complaining? Definitely not this woman who was surprised with a wedding ring inside her favourite snack.

The way to a foodie's heart is through their stomach, everyone knows. But Twitter user @hanani0's partner knew it best, it seems, when he proposed to her with a diamond-studded golgappa. Did he just bump the bar of unique proposals several notches up? We think he did.

As per NDTV, the woman first shared snaps from her unique proposal on social media writing, "I mean, can't say no to pani puri." The duo has now locked their social media profiles.

However people know it - panipuri, golgappa, puchka - this is one snack Indians can't ever get enough of. Whether it's having Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi level golgappa-eating competitions or Queen level variation of beer golgappa, it's a timeless favourite.

And so foodie netizens who know what a big deal this snack is couldn't keep calm over the couple's sweet... er - spicy ring ceremony.
