Nurse Receives Care Package From Taylor Swift: Britta Thomason, a Georgia-based nurse received a care package with presents and a handwritten letter from American singer Taylor Swift.

A video of Britta Thomason opening the package that she received from Swift went viral on the internet. Swift had sent Thomason the package to show her gratitude towards people who work in the frontline to serve and help others during the pandemic.

In the handwritten letter, Swift personally thanked Thomason for her work in the fight against COVID-19. The care package Thomason received included merchandise like candles, a blanket, T-Shirts, notebooks, a handwritten letter, and a champagne glass from the Champagne Problems singer.

Swift probably got to know about the Georgian Nurse through social media and an interview that Thomason gave a while ago. In an interview with a local newspaper about her job, Thomason mentioned that she loved to listen to Taylor Swift’s music to help her relax during the hectic time.

Weeks after the interview, Thomason got a call from Swift’s team, Taylor Nation, which is a team in charge of keeping the fans connected with the artist. They informed her that a package will be delivered to her soon. Thomason said that she felt very nervous throughout. “I was shaking just because it was so surreal,” she said.

“I thought there’s no way that this is what it is. When I opened it, the letter was actually sitting on top. I opened it up and I didn’t actually read the whole thing immediately. I just looked down and saw her signature and I was in just complete shock,” Thomason added.

Swift has been known as an artist who regularly “lurks” her fans to keep up with them through social media. She is active especially on platforms like Tumblr where she actively engages and converses with fans. Her team, Taylor Nation also keeps up with fans and their personal lives. This makes the relationship and bond between the artist and her fans strong and intimate.

This is evidently not the first time Swift has donated money in support of health workers and patients during the pandemic, making a difference in people’s lives during their times of need. The singer has also released Epiphany, an emotional song dedicated directly to the frontline workers that work hard to keep people safe and healthy during the pandemic in her album Folklore. The Willow singer and her mother, Andrea Swift, have also recently donated $50,000 in support of a family who lost their father due to COVID-19.
