Bizarre Indian Food Trends In 2021 That Had Us Puzzled

There have been some bizarre food trends in 2021. 'Fire Panipuri' and 'Nutella Biryani' are two unusual dishes we've seen among many. Over time, the food experiments have gotten drastically worse.

This isn't to say that every new food fad is a disaster; every rule has an exception. But the ones we're about to talk about is among the strangest and most perplexing.

Here Are Some Bizarre Indian Food Trends 2021:

1. Mirchi Ice Cream Roll

A man in Indore thought it would be interesting to make a "Mirchi Ice Cream Roll," the newest and possibly most bizarre trend. As seen in the ">video, the street vendor starts by cutting green chilies and then adding Nutella. He then pours in the milk cream and stirs it thoroughly. After that, the mixture is frozen before being shaped into rolls. The vendor has garnished the rolls with chilly pieces by the end of the video. "There are too many chilies," a customer complains as the vendor hands him the ice cream.

2. Chilli Jalebis

Your favorite mithai has been given a new twist. A Twitterati came up with the idea for Chilli Jalebis after seeing a picture of crispy jalebis dipped in soy sauce with garlic and bell peppers. And the internet was so outraged that they demanded that "this guy be arrested." So, if this strange invention has made you cry, know that you're not alone.    

3. Ferrero Rocher Manchurian

Empress of chocolates Ferrero Rocher was not immune to the slew of food fads that have swept the country this year. On social media, a picture of Ferrero Rocher floating in brown Manchurian gravy went viral. Ferrero Rocher Manchurian combined the sweet and savory worlds, resulting in an unimageable confection.

4. Maggi Pani Puri 

Have you ever imagined a hot ">maggie stuffed Pani puri? Isn't it strange? There are many versions of Pani Puri in India. Maggie Pani Puri is the latest. Some people were enthralled by the crispy Pani Puri stuffed with gooey hot spicy Maggi, while others were disgusted by the strange food trend.

5. Ice Cream Paratha

Whether you prefer your paratha with butter, pickle, or curd, this food trend will make you reconsider your options. The Ice Cream Paratha is a hit with ice cream and paratha fans alike. Scooping your favorite ice cream onto a paratha, rolling it up, and devouring it as a stuffed ice cream paratha roll is the latest food trend.

6. Kaju Katli Chicken Soup

When it comes to food crazes, the Kaju Katli Chicken Soup might be the weirdest. Silver foiled Kaju Katli pieces gasped for air as they swam in the signature clear chicken soup. Disbelief erupted on the internet as well. Traditional festive mithai with chicken soup is a colossal flop. Many people puked at this Kaju Katli Chicken Soup meme because there were so many to choose from.

7. Croissant  Vada Pav

Do you think it's a good idea to combine the classic French croissant with the popular Mumbai snack, vada pav? 

An image went viral on Twitter, showing how a croissant is sliced in half and the Mumbai street food with the vada, potato filling, and red and green mint chutney sits in between the French bread. A fried green chili, onion rings, and lemon round out the international dish. 

The funny thing about the dish is that the restaurant calls it Croissant Vada Pav, which raises the question of whether the pav is inside the croissant. And if that's the case, why would one want to eat both a croissant and a pav? We wonder if the French or Portuguese would object to such a mix.
