The Union Public Service Commission on Tuesday released the examination dates for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2020.
According to the date sheet uploaded on upsc.gov.in, the official site of UPSC, the examination will begin on November 28, 2020(Sunday). The exam will commence with General English as the first paper in the forenoon session(9 AM to 12 PM) followed by General Knowledge in the evening session(2 PM to 5 PM) on the same day.
The last paper will be held on March 7, 2020(Sunday).

Candidates appearing for the examination should note that there is a negative marking for every incorrect answer. The exam will have objective type questions and the candidates will have to use black ballpoint pen to answer the IFS (Main) Paper. Moreover, candidates would not be allowed to carry any electronic items in the examination centre. Those who are appearing for the examination will have to abide by the guidelines. Failure to do might end up in disciplinary action against them.
Following the Main Examination, candidates who qualify the same will be called for the interview round. Before the interview, the selected candidates will have to indicate their order of preference of zones/cadres in the online detailed application form-II (DAF-II). In addition to that, the selected candidates will be required to upload all the relevant certificates/documents along with the DAF-II.
