The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has now decided to postpone the notification for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2021.
“The Combined Medical Services Examination, 2021 scheduled to be notified on May 5, 2021, stands deferred till further notice,” read the official notification released by the commission. In the meantime, candidates have been advised to visit the official website upsc.gov.in for all the required updates.
The fresh dates for the exam will be announced soon. Earlier, the commission had to postpone the recruitment process of about 363 vacancies.
UPSC Combined Medical Services Exam is for MBBS students
The Combined Medical Services Exam held by the UPSC is for MBBS students who aspire to work in central health service, or as assistant medical officers in the Railways, Indian Ordnance Factories, etc. These students can also work for the New Delhi Municipal Council too.
The commission will be ending the registration process for the Assistant Commandant post in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) tomorrow. A total of 159 vacancies will be filled soon. Candidates will be selected through a series of tests such as a written exam, physical efficiency test, medical test, interview, etc. A merit list will be made according to the written exam and the interview.
JEE Mains Exam Postponed
The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains has now been postponed due to the unprecedented rise in the COVID-19 cases throughout the country. It was scheduled to be conducted on May 24,25,26 and 28. Earlier, it was scheduled to be held between April 27 to 30.
Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', the union education minister advised all aspiring candidates to check the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) for all further notifications. He also announced that the registration process for the examination will take place later. He had earlier revealed that he had advised the NTA to postpone the remaining sessions of the JEE main exams.
