Telangana schools reopen: Telangana schools will reopen for classes 6 to 8 between February 24 to March 1. K Chandrashekhar Rao, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh gave orders for the same.
Telangana's education minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the decision was finalised in accordance with Chief Minister Rao's instructions. She added that consent of parent will be 'mandatory', and all the COVID-19 guidelines will have to be strictly followed.
Telangana schools reopened for higher classes
Classes for 9 and above resumed functioning on February 1.
The latest announcement regarding schools has been given at a time when Telangana recorded 114 COVID-19 cases. The total number of cases stand at 2,97,712 with a death toll of 1,625. It is to be noted that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded the most amount of cases.
Haryana to reopen schools for classes 3 to 5
Like Telangana, Haryana will also be reopening its schools for classes 3 to 5 from February 24. However, classes for students from grades 6 to 8 resumed from February 1.
