NEET UG Program For 2021: The Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Monday said that the NEET (UG)2021 examination will be conducted only one time this year.
This put an end to many speculations about NEET being held in multiples sittings like the JEE Main tests in 2021.
Pokhriyal's statement comes after the National Testing Agency's notification about the date of NEET exams of UG courses. According to the notification, the exam for undergraduate medical courses will be held on August 1.
Pokhriyal in his written reply to Lok Sabha has stated, "In 2021, the NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA only one time. NTA has informed that they have not received any memorandum in this regard."
The NTA had also announced that the NEET UG examination will be held in 11 languages including English and Hindi. Further, the notice added that the tests will be conducted in offline mode.
NTA conducts NEET examination for admissions in medical courses such as MBBS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS and BDS. According to the official notification, other details regarding the syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation seats, fee, location for examinations and state code among other things will be made available on the official website after the submission of the application for NEET(UG) 2021 begins.
The results for NEET 2020 were declared by NTA on October 16.
