JKPSC Postpones prelims: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has postponed its Combined Competitive Prelims exam for this year.
The COVID-19 situation has led to the postponement of the exam, which was going to be held on 11 July, 2021. It will now be held on October 24, this year. The notification regarding the latest update has been released on the official website jkpsc.nic.in
“Due to the COVlD-19 pandemic, the combined competitive Apart from this, the JKPSC has also released a notice for candidates who had paid excess fees for the exam. They will now have to send their correct bank account details in a given format on or before May 25, in order to get a refund. The JKPSC prelims examination will be conducted in two sessions in October. Candidates who pass this exam will then have to appear for the main exam. The exam is being conducted in order to fill up the 187 vacancies available in departments such as administration, accounts, police, etc., in Jammu & Kashmir. Meanwhile, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) decided to delay its 66th main competitive exam. This too was because of the worsening COVID-19 situation in the state. However, no new dates for the examination have been announced as yet. According to the previous schedule, the exam would have got over by June 8. The exam will be conducted in three subjects, which includes two compulsory ones, with one optional subject. Each paper will carry 300 marks. All of them will have to be completed within three hours duration. If candidates qualify this exam, they will be selected for the interview round. After that, a final list containing the combined marks of their exam and interview will be released. JKPSC prelims will be conducted in two sessions
