The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has now extended the last date for the submission of assignments till May 31.
These assignments include project reports, internship, fieldwork, journals, dissertation, and internships for the TEE (Term-end Examination) which will be held in June 2021. The official Twitter handle of the open university made an announcement for the same today. “The last date for submission of assignments for the Term-end Examination, June 2021 — both online and offline (physical) submission - has been extended up to May 31, 2021.”

IGNOU had to postpone the submission of these assignments for a second time now. Earlier, the open university had asked candidates to submit their assignments by 30 April 2021.

Besides this, the last date for registration of different courses under the open university is April 302021. This is for the January 2021 session. Candidates can apply through the official website.
The registration date for the same has already been extended for all the courses except for the certificate, semester-based, merit-based programs.
A total of 16 online courses have been approved by the UGC and will be provided by the open university. Here's how you can register yourself for the courses of your choice.

- Click on the January 2021 link.
- Fill in the required details
- Pay for the course fees
- Click on submit, and download the confirmation page that appears on the screen.
- Keep a hard copy of the page.
Candidates will require important documents such as a scanned copy of the photograph, age proof, educational qualification, experience certificate, category certificate, BPL certificate, and other documents as per the candidates' application for the registration process. All candidates will have to scan the required documents from the originals and pay the fees via debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.
