Fashion shows across the world keep coming up with something innovative and sometimes even bizarre that amazes people. Likewise, a French brand named Coperni presented the fashion industry with its most memorable and viral moment by spray-painting a dress on Bella Hadid.
In an effort to do something out of the box, a model wore “live fish” for a fashion show in Chennai and is now getting slammed for using an animal as a prop.
Model Wears Live Fish During Ramp Walk
The video shared by the Instagram page Make Over by Preethi shows a model wearing a mermaid-style dress with a pot-like structure attached to it. A person is seen transferring small fish and water into the plastic pot attached to her abdomen.
In another video, the model is seen walking the ramp with the fish swimming in the pot. She is seen holding the plastic pot with her hand.
Since being shared, the video has garnered over eight million views and over four million likes. The caption of the post reads, “Mermaid.”
In the comments section, a user asked to stop using animals in everything. Another user asked what was wrong with people who cannot stop bothering living beings. A third user commented that so many fish cannot be kept in such a small space as they need proper oxygen. A fourth user called it cringe-worthy to use innocent animals just to look fashionable, while a fifth user said that they are getting short of brain cells, designs, and creativity and that they have to do this stupid shit to include animals and called it a worthless design to even look at.
In a message to those who are complaining about people not appreciating the model’s talent, a user remarked that the dress was indeed pretty on its own. However, it is the intense cruelty to fish that is causing so many people to be disappointed.
