According to People magazine, a robotic mask was perched atop a speaker that was powered by ChatGPT and placed between the bride and groom. Reece Alison Wiench and Deyton Truitt, the couple who selected ChatGPT to officiate their marriage, were thanked for inviting everyone to their celebration.

ChatGPT Officiates And Welcomes Guests At A US Wedding

The magazine claims that because their state does not mandate a licenced marriage officiant, the couple was able to hold this extraordinary ceremony. Deyton Truitt described the significance of his wedding day and how, by God's grace, neither partner required a celebrant. Stephen Wiench, the father of the bride, suggested the use of a fake officiant as a quicker and less expensive alternative.

When the bot first hesitated, it claimed that it lacked the physical presence needed to carry out the human task of officiating. The couple and their families were, however, prepared to move forward once they started interacting with ChatGPT, which is renowned for its sophistication and personalization.

The bot received private information from the families and incorporated it into the ceremony. The bot, for instance, expressed gratitude and honour to everyone present, particularly to those who came from outside Kansas. The foundation of the bot's recitation was this blending of personalization and essential components.

Surprisingly, the contemporary wedding was held in a 100-person church that dates back to 1885. The couple revealed that they planned their special day in less than a week during an interview with a local newspaper, the Longmont Leader. They sent an AI-generated statement to their 30 guests as soon as they made the decision to have the bot officiate.
